I completed the Veterinary Medical Reception program with distinction at Olds College in 2020. I’ve always been a cat person, but have never actually owned one myself! I’ve always lived with at least one person with severe allergies. My current pets are my dachshund mix, Arthas, and my hedgehog, Toast. My first pet was a hamster named Zippy.
I have a special interest in feral cats and TNR programs. In my free time, I volunteer with AARCS as a shift lead for the cat caregivers. My favourite thing to do is help socialize semi-feral cats. There’s nothing more rewarding than finally getting to pet a cat that’s been scared and hissy for months! A couple fun facts about me: I have a background in English Literature and Medieval History. If I’m not at work or at AARCS, I spend a lot of my free time playing video games.
